What is Skin Camouflage?

Skin Camouflage (also known as Paramedical Tattooing) is a specialised micropigmentation technique. Unlike traditional decorative tattooing, we use medical-grade pigments custom-blended to match your unique skin tone.

The goal is to blend scars, burns, or depigmented areas seamlessly into the surrounding skin, making them virtually invisible to the naked eye. It acts as a permanent concealer, allowing you to feel comfortable in your own skin again

Conditions or Type of Scars We Treat

1. Surgical & Trauma Scars : From facelifts, tummy tucks (abdominoplasty), and breast augmentation to accident-related trauma. We reduce the visibility of healed surgical incisions by blending them with your natural complexion.

2. Stretch Marks : Whether from pregnancy, growth spurts, or weight changes. We camouflage silver or white stretch marks to match your base skin tone, smoothing out the visual texture.

3. Vitiligo Camouflage : For stable vitiligo patches, we meticulously deposit pigment to restore colour, reducing the high contrast between the depigmented area and your natural skin.

4. Burn Survivor Support : We work with skin grafts and burn scars to introduce tonal variation. This adds visual depth back to the skin for a more natural appearance, moving away from the "shiny" look of scar tissue.

5. Self-Harm Scarring : A judgement-free space to help you move forward. We camouflage linear scars on arms or legs, helping you reclaim your skin and your privacy.

6. Acne Scarring & Hypopigmentation : We target "white" (hypopigmented) acne scars or spots left from laser treatments, filling them with pigment to even out your overall complexion.

7. Gender Affirmation & Transition Scars : Proudly supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. We specialise in Top Surgery (mastectomy) scar camouflage and aesthetic shading to support your transition journey.

8. Hypertrophic Scars : Note: We treat flat and healed scars. For raised (hypertrophic) scars, we assess on a case-by-case basis. If your scar is still active or pink, we may recommend waiting before treatment.

The Process: Your Journey to Restoration

Step 1: The Consultation: We analyse your skin’s undertones and perform a patch test to ensure a perfect colour match.

Step 2: Custom Blending: We mix a pigment that matches your skin—accounting for how it will heal in the dermis.

Step 3: The Session: A non-invasive tattooing process. Most treatments take 1-3 hours depending on the size of the area.

Step 4: Layering: Skin camouflage is an art of layers. We build density over 2-3 sessions to achieve a realistic, 3D effect.
